How to measure CO2 in the oceans?

13 April 2018

We have quite many scientists with a good grip on that. Here Roman Battisti talks about the workshop he organized at the Bjerknes Centre in March, were scientists from all over Europe as well as some all the way from the US attended. For three days the scientists discussed instruments and measurements together with vendors like Kongsberg Maritime. In short, ICOS is a new european observational system monitoring CO2-emissions in Europe - in the atmosphere, on land and in the oceans. Their long name is Integrated Carbon Observation System, and they includes scientists in Athmospheric Thematic Centre, in Terrestric Thematic Centre, and here in Norway and at the Bjerknes Centre we have the Ocean Thematic Centre, together with the Uni Research and Universitetet i Bergen.
